W210 Cabin Filter

There are a couple of threads from some time ago reference the cabin filters as fitted to a 1998 E300 TD saloon but they make a number of refrences to the basic heater system or the advanced air con with digital control. I have what seems to be an in between model with aircon but with thumb wheels in the dash for either side of the car to individually control the temparature with either heat or aircon.
Can anyone confirm where the cabin filters are located on this model ?

Under the passenger side dash panel. You have regular AC. Nothing fancy.

Thanks, will have a dig around under there at the weekend and see what i can find. Not an expensive part I know but as I have no idea when they were last changed, maybe 6 moths maybe 5 years ( last MB service ) I will have a look first.

That in itself isnt a bad thought Renault21ts as this car has already been a money pit in the month I have had it, all filters, front calipers, battery etc etc... I think it was a good job the shops were shut for a lot of days during the holidays to save me from spending !!
I am sure it will be all worth it in the end though as its a great car to drive.
