Hi everyone

I have a 01 w210 E270 automatic. lately i noticed that the car has started to change gear at apporx 3000rpm which i think is a bit high. Also when i get out mu underground garage (forward or backword) i have to push the throtle more than i used to.
I thougt that might be the brakes (maybe they stcked on) but i checked and everything looks fine.
Oil and filters just changed and still the problem persists.

3 weeks ago I travelled to germany (approx 1300 km within 16 hours), and when I got back home everything looked fine, gearchange and power OK. The next morning the lady started to be lazy again

Any idea?

I warm up the car 10 min every morning before starting. I changed the gearbox fluid 14k ago. no leaks since then.
I noticed that when they changed the fluid they only put of the botom cover of the trasmition and there were only 4 lit of oil in it. Can it be that the change wasnt done correctly?

You may have the gearbox slipping a little. Whats the mileage? It could be worn? A check with a Star is what is needed.

Just checked, only old faults one of them SRS. The mileage is 220K km. I don’t understand the second question (it could be worn?). Checked the battery also, it looked fine. The problem is that the guys here don’t look very convinced of what they are doing (the only authorised Mercedes service in my country). I had bad experience with them with my dad ML 400 transition, they took lot of time and money and the answer was transition fluid change. For my dad’s problem I found the answer in this forum, so I have to push them to search for a specific problem. I REALY NEED HELP.
This morning it was hard getting out my underground parking in reverse. I looked like an idiot with all that noise I made.
It really looks slippery, also in high speed it takes a while transmitting power to the wheels.

hmm.. should be around 7L if I remember correctly. Now your torque converter was full of old oil, and was not changed...

Did they check the control unit box (oil contamination of the box is very common, and it will mess the transmission performance)?

Pretty sure they didn’t do anything of what you mentioned mersum1es. If TCU is OK, a gear fluid change will be again the answer you suggest?

Just a fluid change may not help, your symptoms sounds pretty serious. You should check the control box first, if oil inside, that's the culprit. Next, check the correct fluid level like asked above. Then to the star diagnose (with professional user!), like suggested above, and you'll get some hints if there really is extra slipping, function of the KYB valve etc. issues.

well, mine did same thing once, but it was about -38C, I warmed the gear box by keeping the selector 'R' several minutes before trying to reverse out from carport. Nothing. With D managed to crawl slightly onwards, the with R enough speed that reached to the downhill part of the yard. After that worked fine. Also couple of other mornings when temp was <-30c, some slipping was detected but managed to come out if started reverse immediately after engaging the gear to R.

This does sound like low ATF causing the Torque converter to be short of drive.

I'll do all the checks you adviced me asap. After all chacks are done I'll let u know the results.

Thank u all for everything :)
