Ok Ok not that bad but I must admit I have vowed to keep on top of every niggle with this car to ensure she doesnt end up with an arm long list of stuff to do. Sensible enough he thinks as he digs deep again
Right just bought everything I need to perform a G/box and torque converter oil change + filter and gasket I am looking to flush all the old oil out ensuring even dirty oil in the rad and pipes is dispersed and replaced with nice clean MB stuff.
As per a forumites recomendation I have bought the interface plug and the workshop tool to check the level etc. I was going to do this last Saturday but ran out of time. Anyway last night I put the car in reverse and she selected the gear no probs but there is a slight vibration coming through the car that was never there before the engine and box have always seemed non existant in terms of idling in gear no vibrations at all and silent. So firgive me if i am worrying needlessly. I can describe the vibration as when you have an auto car that idling too low and you put it in gear it starts to shudder although this is exaggerating slightly what the AMG is doing its not a violent shudder but just enough to know its not normal. Forward gears shes been fine until this moring when in drive stationary in traffic she give the same slight shudder on tick over. The idle on the engine seems fine although you do notice a very slight miss on on of the firing cycles every now and then very minimal prob unoticable for any passenger however I think thats just the ECP Bosch plugs I fitted when initially looking at the missfire issue that ended up being a CAT I am going to replace the plugs again with gen items soon but I honestly think this is unrelated. she changes gear smoothly and selects gear smoothly enough, Its just probably me being paranoid but I dont want to have to shell out for a box due to neglect! possible mount problem?? I will climb under this weekend just though I would put the feelers out.
