W210 heating controls.

I tried a 2001 car this weekend. I was confused by the heating control.Two dials, left/right and one for fan spped.
Is this climate or do you have to constantly adjust red-blue and fan speed or is the tempature regulated in some way.
The car did have a EC button and a rest button.

This is not climate. Is as you stated; you have to adjust the temp controls all on your own!!!!!

Yup, ec light off AC on!!

We find running in the white with the fan set to 3 is about right for most journeys (AC on!) this time of year. Full on the blue though for very hot days as the estates take some cooling!
