w211 270 cdi 2003 check engine light on

Hello there.my mercedes w211 has check engine light on and it won't pass 2500 rpm with max speed 130 km/h.it doesn't go faster . Every opinion can help .thank in advance.

It could be anything.

You need a code reader, or get someone to read it for you from the OBD port.

Check the codes with a fault code reader. Could be many things. Mine did the same when the MAF needed replacing as well as the EGR not working properly

Does this cause the cechk engine light to go on? Does this limit the revs to 2500 rpm?

Is your car a facelift? In Those car it may cause CEL, but should not cause limp mode IMO. Glow plug coil light works as it should? I think there is something else too, get it plugged in star...

Today when kicked down and the revs gone over 2500 rpm i heard a klick noise from the engine . Do you know what does this mean ??

No , it's not facelifted. It is w211 270 cdi 2004 .its start up well. When i kicked down over 2500rpm it make a klick noise in engine . Do you know what does this mean ??
