Can anyone tell me how to check that this is working?
I have been trying to see when it dips but cannot see it working. Should it happen quickly when a car follows you with headlights on.
Can it be turned off? Any info on testing would be apprieciated......thanks

I only notice it when I look in the mirror and after some time I realsie that I am not being blinded. I assume it happens fairly quickly as these days, headlights appear as nice round decently dimmed orbs, not floodlights. One of the best little accessories ever.

put your finger over the sensor that faces the windscreen while shining a torch on the sensor facing the rear screen. The mirror should quickly turn a very dark golden or green colour.

You can also see the effect if you drive into a dark area with all light coming from behind: like a garage! Takes a few seconds to dim. It is not a sudden off/on.
