Got the correct kit to take the rear springs out and so thought I'd give it a go. It took me 2 hrs to figure it out and do on one side only . Well It was a first and I'm no mechanic. I realised in the end I had to undo the anti roll bar and base of shock absorber and still the angle wasnt exactly right for the spring tool without using a long bar for leverage and finally it was in. Thats the nearside rear done , it has a rubber housing with a pin that goes in it. Dont know if drivers side will be any different , I hope it will be easier but I needed a friend to lever it whilst I took the spring out after compression. I used a trolley jack and an axle stand.I was hoping to do both today but will have to wait till next week.
If anyone has an easier way , I'll be attempting it next week thanks everyone.

in the meantime i'll search forum and see if anyone else has done it for advice.

A bit quicker than the near side but still not an easy job , undid the base of shock absorber and the ARB and had a friend push down on suspension, I could then pull the spring out. When put back it looked far too high but this was sorted as soon as you moved the car it settled to correct position. Went for a drive and felt very bouncy at the back blast. Had a look and o/s shock absorber leaking heavily , so have now replaced both rear shockers sorted. Sods law it didnt go when I was already on the job!!
