I've looked and looked on the web and I can't find the answer! (Which seems unbelievable - so there's a challenge!)

Where does the spare wheel/tyre live in a W211 estate? Also, is it a space saver or a full size spare?

Anybody got a photo?

It was upright at one side of the load area in my old W124.

I'm asking because I'm wondering about getting such a vehicle and converting it to LPG - and I prefer a doughnut tank to a cylinder taking up boot space.

Cheers,

Mark

I'ts a space saver under the boot floor. Lift the floor up and you will see a storage space. Lift up the second floor/storage space and it is under there.

Thanks SL300-24.

So, just to clarify, out of the two floor compartments, it is the one nearer the back seats (further from the tailgate)?

So that must only apply to 5 seater estates? Or do they have a full size spare there on 5 seaters and a space saver on 7 seaters?

Do you know if is a full size spare or a space saver?

Cheers,

Mark

OK. So it looks pretty much like the saloon once you've burrowed down

I see that, in another thread, you state that yours has a space saver. Is this because it wouldn't have space for a full size?

Cheers,

Mark
