W211 locking location of rf receiver

I wondered if any one can help my infra red locking works but the Rf doesn't I have check and replaced the batteries and all ok

The car is an estate and I am not sure where the receiver is located
I have found the aerial amplifier but I seem to remember that the Rf receiver is located behind the roof lining

Does anyone know where it's located ?

It is the A2/64 amplifier at the left D-pillar (I assume it is the left pillar also on RHD cars).

If your radio is fine on all frequency bands, your problem could come from the rear-SAM. The rear-SAM sometimes stops receiving/delivering remote control messages and needs a reset. Unfortunately you cannot really reset the rear-SAM easily. You would have to detach the battery shortly. Do it very carefully, otherwise you may get much more severe issues, like a broken SAM.
