w211 milometer on main screen

I have a milometer at the bottom of the central circle - with speedo/temp etc
What's it for? I reset the trip at each fuel fill so it isn't that.

But I do reset the screen which shows mileage, mpg etc from last reset (not journey time) and that works but it doesn't reset this one?
How many trip measurements does it have!

You need to have the radio screen showing, not the trip because the car will think you're trying to reset the trip (if that makes sense)

ok, thanks all. So it is just an independent trip you can reset at any time and only records mileage, not mpg etc like the other screen.
I think mine says nearly 4000 miles so I'll just reset it and see.
