W211 E270 CDI MY 2004 with a Nokia 6310i cradle (part no. a2118201451).
Everything works fine except that the other party cannot hear me when the handset is seated in the cradle as well as lifted out (connected by curly wire) in private mode. ie. in any way connected to the car. Its like the mic is disconnected. The handset works fine when entirely disconnected from the car an used as a regular mobile phone.
Have gone through the following steps:
1. MB workshop star diag. No fault codes, all ok. So they removed the mic (RVM) and cleaned the connectors, removed the undertray of the cradle and cleaned the connectors. They suspect this to be an issue with the phone, but cannot be sure as we do not have another handset or another vehicle to swap and try.
2. Had phone checked / serviced. Technician "says" its ok.
So effectively, I have a car which according to MB is good. I have a phone which supposedly is good. However, they don't work with each other!!!
I intend to purchase the Visee0 MB - 1000 Bluetooth adapter, but can only do that when I know for sure that the vehicle system is ok.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE:
Managed to source another 6310i and the system worked. So the vehicle system is fine. Now to go for the MB-1000 Visee0.
