W211 Pollen Filter

How easy is it to check or change the pollen filter on a 2008 W211 E Class? Where is it situated?

Pop the hood, look on the passenger side right below the window and there is a little black box with a 10mm plastic nut behind the washer bottle i think. The filter just wedges in that box.
