W211 USB and Command

Hey guys

I have Command, 6cd changer and nav in booot factory fitted to my 2003 E320cdi

It plays MP3 discs in headunit DVD drive, but won't play in 6cd changer.

Is it possible to add USB to system so it can play music from USB stick?

Or is it possible to replace none MP3 cd changer with 6cd mp3 changer? E.g cd changer Part Number: A2118703889

I recently had my COMAND upgraded.
My previous unit had a 6 CD changer in the "secret" cubby hole above the ash tray..
My 6CD player WOULD play MP3's

My definitely won't play MP3 cd, I tried few and get cd error. Discs will play in DVD drive fine. None mp3 plays fine as well in 6 cd changer.

Your car probably newer.
I looked on link provided, 6cd mp3 changer are out of stock and priced £399 ((

I seen on eBay, probably from facelift w211 cd chargers are around £100.

I wanted to know, will it be just straight swap job, or different cd charger needs to be coded to car?

Yes you can fit the single din mp3 changer. Shouldnt need coding.

my 2004 w211 had the aux in in the glovebox - that could solve your problem if youve gt an mp3 player

Had a look today in glovebox, and could not believe, i have AUX IN :bannana:
Never thought 2003 car will have AUX input
