Please can someone advise on how to change the fuel filter on this engine.

I have removed the air filters but need to remove the turbo outlet pipe to clear the fuel filter.

There is a front guard that needs removing (I can see the top two bolts but limited room - can't see the lower bolt)

Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated

It is a bit of a faff as it sits in the v but not too bad. If you loosen the resonator after the boost pipe you should be able to wiggle it off. Change the o rings at both ends while you are in there as they get nipped really easily. Get the proper pliers for the hose clamps on the filter and it pops out no bother.

Piece of cake.

The most difficult bit is finding the screws/bolts that are at the front of the engine to loosen the resonator box, so that the pipe can come forward.

My advise is not to completely remove the screws - leave them in there so that you can simply tighten them again once the pipe is back in. Otherwise putting them back in is going to be a pain

Thank you for all your super advise.

In the end removed the resonator cover with two bolts at top and just pull up the cover out from the rubber grommet.

I ended up removing the bottom tray and removing the two bolts from resonator to free the turbo outlet pipe.

I have managed to do the lot, however I did struggle to re-seat the turbo outlet pipe correctly without any leaks despite a new seal.

Any advise on re-seating pipe in the future?

Silicone grease and some put two sealing rings in too make sure.

i have the same layout like this picture in the bottom (there is the big plastic harness cover on metl turbo pipe). although it was possible for me to change the fuel filter , i was not able to remove the metal pipe completely due to the harness cover. Anyone has any clue on removing the pipe?

That's my car . Lol. The harness unclips and lifts up about an inch. You can then slide the pipe out. Good luck. 😅😅
