Hi all, coming up to nearly a year of having the Merc, 20000 miles clocked in that time taking the car to 75000. 4th and 5th service done including the gearbox a few weeks back so now wondering what is next on the agenda as I head towards 100k in the next 12 to 15 months? Anything else I need to consider other than the regular service intervals?
On a side note, I've never known such bad luck since owning this car! Driving over some metal spike object resulting in two new tyres and a rear alloy. Getting side-swiped by a tractor damaging 5 body panels, wing-mirror and the new alloy (All fixed finally, his insurer accepted full liability after reviewing my dashcam). To then have a van spook a pheasant all of a sudden into my path shattering one of my multibeam headlights. Finally a corker of a chip smack bang int he middle of the windscreen. I expected to need deep pockets for owning a Merc but have never known a 12 month period like it. Of course it would never happen in my 18 year old Santa Fe. Anyway I digress.
Anything I should be looking to get replaced as I head over six digits on the clock or will normal service schedule items suffice? I have two more services to go on my current plan.
Oh, and apart from the horrendous luck, the car has been the best I have ever had. Absolutely love getting into it every single time and genuinely want to keep it for a very long time.
