hot all the time unless it is put down to low setting this is on auto ,i am convinced the temp in the car is not being monitered correctly ,i have cleared the memory as described in an other post,too no avail any help would be appreciated .thank you .:wallbash:

Usually this and similar models have an issue with the valves that control heater water circulation. Have you checked those? I'm not sure if it could be something else in this case (like the heater control unit) if it makes a difference when you turn the temperature setting down.
 
When I had my C200 '1999' it was the 'duo valve' that was causing this issue. I simply tapped the aluminium body with a screw driver handle a few times after I had selected cold and eventually it moved over to cold and not hot. In my case this was located in the bulk head, right hand side, near to bottom of windscreen.
 
+1 for duos. I think it was in US forum where was pictorial cleaning instruction of W210 duovalve, W220 valve is pretty close I believe.
