Hi All,

Having recently bought a nice old bus I was expecting to find a few things wrong that would need fixing, took about a week to emerge from its hiding place but an embarrassing 10 mins at the local garden centre saw nothing at all happen:( I had been inside for about 15 mins, came out and jumped in the car, cranked over OK but no spark of life! 10 mins with the bonnet open whilst scratching my head, gave it another go and bingo - straight back to life.
I then spent a comfy half hour googling the issue and all fingers pointed towards a Crank Angle Sensor that was starting to breakdown under heat soak.
Quick trip to the main dealer saw me with a new Sensor (£120 inc VAT) and then it was just a matter of .....
Pop the front engine cover
Remove the Air intake tubes
Pop the Air filter housing
Unplug the Sensor
E8 star socket thing to unscrew the sensor
Replace Sensor and reverse the above
In all....20 Mins

Pictures if I can make them work....

Well done Jim. That's a £200 job at an indy.
