W220 s65 amg

Where in london are you, I am sure people will recommended good, triedand tested indies

Congratulations these cars are fantastic and the power is unreal. The downside is the cost of fixing anything that goes wrong. I have a w215 CL65 and love it!

Thank you! I nearly went for a CL65 as couldn't find a W220 S65, but I missed out on the one I wanted. Luckily then my one came up! I think the CL's are awesome looking. Have you taken to a track or tuned it in any way?

Nice car.... If I was you I'd start researching about ABC now, a lot of merc mechanics don't even seem to understand it!

Thank you! Yes, during my research I discovered that the ABC can be seriously problematic. I checked on mine before I bought it, and the last owner had the pump replaced not so long ago. Fingers crossed!

Can recommend Wright Tech in Sidcup, SE London...

Well done on the car. For me, the ultimate car of that era.

Even though my E55K runs at similar power, I would still love to own an S65 but I am not brave enough...

Thank you for the recommendation! Much appreciated

Yes, enjoy that lovely car!

As an education for us, could you post any future significant costs on this thread? ;)

And, of course, any other tales you have from driving it, like...omg when I put my foot to the metal!

Yeah sure. Hopefully there won't be any large costs, but perhaps it's inevitable!

One thing I have done already is install a freeview TV box, as the old analog signal is no longer supported. That was £250 all in. I also got them to run an auxiliary cable up from the boot to the front of the car, so I can listen to music. Kinda weird they didn't add an aux port in this model.....£140k car and no aux!

My next buy is a ViseeO MBU 3000 set for the phone cradle. After that, who knows!
