Wales day drive

Is that the 'EVO' loop your on about? If so could you report back on how it was? Im interested in taking my car around there. Cant make tomorow though, as im flying myself on a nice little saturday jaunt down to Half Penny Green (Wolverhampton Airport).

Wales is beautifull, have fun!

I did not manage to drive as far up to the EVO triangle this time round. Here are the way points we passed;

Hirwaun
Glyn Tarell
Cray
Brynamman
Llangadog
Pont-Rhyd-y-Groes
Craig Goch Reservoir
Carreg-Ddu Reservoir
Rhayader

How do I attach photos in the reply ... ?

Dammit hygt2 - you passed my front door. Let me know next time and I'll get the kettle on.

Did you have fun? I enjoyed hearing about your fun in your car on track in Portsmouth.

Loading pics here is easy, upload them onto photobucket and copy in the IMG code here so we can see...:thumb:

Hello everyone,

I am planning on going for a drive in Wales tomorrow

Wales day drive - Google Maps

Planning to be in Hirwaun around 9.30 and then drive the loop.

Anyone interested?

Enjoy the journey......it's a great shame the weather is looking to be rather poor.

edit: shame on me for making such a school-boy error!

Guys - If I have the dates right this took place a month ago :wallbash:

I went on the Saturday of the first bank holiday weekend - fantastic weather.

Laurie, I would definitely give you a buzz when I can your way again (hopefully in not too distance future as I am planning to do another Wales day drive - probably August bank holiday)

I have now uploaded the photos in Wales and the track day at Mallory Park under my profile - can you all see it? Also, how do you link the album back to the thread?

I'll post my next Wales trip in plenty of time (2 weeks in advance?) and you are more than welcome to join in :)

With regards to driving S Classes around a track, there are surprisingly many. I know of a few instructors at Brooklands using S55 AMGs to teach defensive driving / anti-car jacking courses. Their clients are mainly chauffeurs, car owners, Class 1 drivers, etc.

Apparently when they had the W220 S55, the diffs blow up at 3 month intervals :(
