Was this a good auction price!? W203 200K Sport Coupe

No leather and it's a coupe. Not the most desirable vehicle but a reasonable price for it if not a little high.

Parker's guide means ought during these difficult times! I should know having no success selling my 270 for the last two months!

I presume trade value is higher than private value??

On Autotrader they're around 6-6.5k.

Thanks.

I don't understand, what's the difference between trade and retail???

Trade is what a trader would buy it in for, retail is the price he would sell it for once he's spent the money prepping it (maybe warranty cost) then profit on top.

I think......

Trade price, is the price the trader would have paid for the car at either auction or offered to a customer who part-exchanged the car.

Retail price, is the price a trader sells the car for.

anyone............am I correct in this?

edit: thanks Nic you beat me to it :)

Ok, I only plan to have this car for 6 months max, could I sell it for a small profit if I only do about 6000miles tops in it???

In present climate I wouldn't expect too much. Spec makes a big difference.

I would just enjoy it!

Only time will tell. At the next service it may need other jobs doing, so any profit would be eroded away. I can recommend Mercland in Nuneaton for service and repairs.

The lack of leather will make it harder to sell, so just be realistic with the price.

Enjoy the car.
