Webuyanycar.com offers just one in 25 the price quoted online

Yup - typical. Anything that is advertising as a service for you, is obviously lining someone else's pockets.....

Personally, I won't sell - run the thing into the ground, hopefully 500k miles away from now!

Bunch of jokers - offered me over a grand less than the p/x value on my Cupra, followed by several subsequent offers over the following weeks, each lower than the last. :wallbash:

Perhaps they were trying to panic me into selling it to them before I started owing them money to take it off my hands :D

My sons partner was offered £1800 for her Renault , accepted it , then when they came to collect , said they would pay £1500 . Luckily , my son was there and he just offered them brief directions! Heard similar from others , not yet met anyone who actually sold to them though.

Dad was offered £20 for his Chrysler Neon - no joke!

They offered £70, but take away the £50 admin fee...

A friend of mine was offered £650 online for his Rover. The price he actually got for it when he took it to them was £150.

Face it, if you believe their ads & believe you are going to get a good price from them you are a ****ing idiot.

They are bottom fishing & playing a numbers game. Enough desperate fools will give their cars away for them to make money

Selling them a car? Heavens, no.

But I still think their website is very useful, it gives you a rough idea where you stand when negotiating a P/X on your motor with a dealer.

Thing is, these guys have to make a profit from somewhere. They will want to auction the vehicle for profit, so you'll never get the p/ex value you would from a dealer.

I suspect they offer more online to lure people along, but I know someone who got the full value from them a few weeks back. If you're honest on the website and declare all the scrapes and shortcomings, they'll generally give you what they said they would (which, admittedly, isn't a lot).
