What ATF do i need ?

Hi Grober , do you knowwhere the slot is on the E class e240 to check the aft level ?? ours has a leak somewhere , and we just lost all gears cornering, saw the tool on ebay, but just wondered where the dip stick goes in , thanks in advance

Dipstick tube is normally in the engine compartment towards the rear of the engine. It's often got a sealed red cap on the top of it. The seal has to be broken to access the tube I think. You may have to purchase a new seal/cap to prevent any dirt getting into the dipstick tube as auto transmission fluid has to be kept scrupulously clean, or you may be able to use the old one not sure. The dipstick cannot be left in place like the old days as its usually too long.
