What do you guys think of this?

It has to be C43 AMG bumpers all the way

Now, if I could only find the skirts

Yeah, they are fibre glass :( and it was somthing like £100 for shipping.

To much hassle with somthing of that size if it goes wrong...

Was pondering why these look so good - I think a lot is down to the way the scallops in the side break up the lines and stop the sides looking too slab like, which is where a lot of kits look wrong. It's odd that people are saying above that 202s would look better with a less curvy kit - yet when you look at it the C43 kit is very curvy.

I know Reiger and not all that well liked here but I really fancy this kit for my W202. I await the flaming :D
Are you going to buy something you don't like just to please us? It's your money, it's your car, my only observation is make sure it fits snug and you really like it.

Regards
John

The front bumper looks semi ok but would suit my ML more with the look of it.

The side skirts look awful like slabs attached to side of car.

The rear bumper looks equally horrible

Sorry but you did ask.

Problem with deviating from the AMG / Brabus normal route is that on a merc they can look max power ish quite easy.

Sometimes less really is more :)

I have decided to go into business producing W210 bodykits - They are guaranteed to last longer than the life of the W210 bodywork :D

I'm sure I've got some of that NASA quality heat reflective window film lying around somewhere..

I fancy the front bumper and the rest was on the site and basically you have to pick and choose to make the kit. The last thing I want to do is make my Merc chavvy and Barry but Merc kits cost the bloody earth.

I've looked for a C43 kit for a while but they are way too expensive and like rocking horse sh1te to come across. I was quoted for a C36 kit off a scrapper the other day almost £550 plus vat and £40 for delivery and it didn't look none too clever either and i'd rather cut my testicles off with a rusty scissors than pay a thief that much money.

What about these kits from the states - http://www.grounddynamics.com/Templates/frmTemplateq.asp?SubFolderID=573&SearchYN=N

I really value your guys opinions on this as I don't want to screw up my Merc. I realise it's nothing compared to most of your flashy motors but at the end of the day I love my car and want to add some toys etc. At least until my wife gets me my 350z ;)

That looks a lot better. But at the end of the day it's your car, and you will have to make the decision on what YOU want, and what YOU think suits your car. That's half the fun of modding other than the cost. Just think carefully about what it is you want, and the look you want to achieve.

Hope that helps.

The trouble with those kits is that they are made from fibreglass not the orignal materials, also the postage they quoted to my was sky high! for the same prices German eBay could provide you with a OEM C43 bumpers.

Do you have a link by any chance? And thanks to all for your thoughtful and helpfull comments

i personally dont like any of it. its all a bit "barry-boy" to me.

the front bumper, maybe at a push. Sideskirts are a no-no and belong to the Corsa/Saxo bunch, and the rear is heading in the same direction.

all in my humble opinion.

if you like it, go for it, but its certainly not something i would look at and think "thats nice".

I mailed him and asked if he'd ship to the UK so we'll see if he's prepared to.
