The 'Others' will probably be mostly Apples, running Safari.

I've used IE7 since it came out, no problems whatsoever (XP Pro).

Still IE6 at work.

Internet Explorer 7.0.6001 with Vista, no problems whatsoever.

I use Advanced Browser at home - Firefox at work. Firefox is rubbish by comparison IMO.

I have been using Avant Browser for quite some time now and I am very happy with it.

For ease of use, security and fore being in control then it must only be Firefox. Nothing else will do.

If the website is for "everyman" then Internet Explorer. If for a techy website I think you will find the hits are skewed more in favour of Firefox.

Here is a US link for all browser useage:

You can download safari for windows - if you havent tried it - do it is the fastest browser out there (according to the blurb)....I use it and think its far better than IE;)

It's also one of the buggiest browsers out there...

Stick with FireFox and you will be way better off...

Sorry but I have to disagree with you Mike, all browsers are for everyone, it is just that some are more secure than others. The link you mention just goes to show that a lot of people use older and less secure versions of Internet Explorer. If you want the safest browser and the one that lets you take control the it can only be Firefox. IE is in control of you and your computer, after all it is a Microsoft product. The only time you may need to use IE is to update using Windows update - more Microsoft control.

Move to Firefox and be in control!

All of them, pretty much. Probably Firefox more than any other, as I have both PCs and Macs at home and both have it installed. I use Safari sometimes on the Macs and IE on the PC and laptop (IE7/Vista and IE6/XP respectively). I use Opera on my PDA (Windows Mobile) and whatever Symbian thingummyjig is installed on my N95.

Can't get overly excited about any of them, to be honest. They all do the same thing really, the one on the phone isn't great but does the job at a pinch - the differences in the others are just a matter of personal preference.

Cheers,

Gaz
