What is R2 really worth?

I need to get a good idea of what my car is really worth. Any ideas?

C180k 54 plate with AMGIVs, Comand and AMG F1 steering wheel. Excellent condition 106,000 miles.

But there are quite a few websites out there that will give you free valuation.

Or check eBay / Autotrader for similar models...

On paper its not worth a lot.... I bet you have spent a lot more on mods than its value now.... Your best bet would be to remove all the saleable mods and sell the car standard... Your mods will only add a few hundred to the value.

According to parkers only about £4-£4500.

Hmm,bit sad really isn't it.... all that effort and care and it still ends up depreciating away. The tough bit is do I keep it forever as it has no rust at all or put it in for one of the finance deals?

At 7+ years old at least most of the depreciation has gone now,as it looks such a good clean car why not keep it for a couple more years?

The 2004-2007 W203 are pretty good, fully galvanised and quite reliable. And the M271 engines are pretty reliable as well. You may get the odd broken spring or the odd bit of rust, but at any rate they are much better built than the previous 1999-2003 cars. So as Dieselman said well worth keeping until it actually starts giving you grief.

Mike, of course you can. If the dreaded day comes then you can have first refusal and all the bits, because i know you'd appreciate R2 and look after her/him/it!

If you took the command and the F1 wheel off... would you get a £1k for these on ebay? even the alloys put some others on it?

If your pxing it or selling private I doubt they will 'add' that much to what you get?

Does not tend to matter how you look after them when it comes to selling, the dealers open the book / log on the PC and give you a value. Doubt most even get off the chair to look at the car.

Its your own personel pride and enjoyment of the car that is worth more to you keeping it nice.
