ive a 2 yr old w203 and have just noticed the paint is bubbling on one of the alloy wheels .does anyone know how this is delt with by mb under warranty.do they replace just the one alloy or repaint it.has anyone any experiance of this

cheers all baz

They normally get it refurbed. Unfortunately it is a common problem.

I thought someone had said they don't do refurbs anymore as they were proving problematic too - and I can concur! Apparently they will replace with a new wheel - but it will prob only be the one that's going :(

I had the service manager check mine and he stated that Mercedes-Benz have stopped supplying refurbished wheels and simply replace old for new.

I had the same problem on my E270 - they replaced the wheels under warranty with no questions - although the service guy did say that if the alloys are damaged, kerbed etc in any way (even if no where near the bubbling) then MB won't replce them.

You can but try !

Probably worth getting the damage refurbed first then reporting the rest.

They replace all warranty claim wheels now with brand new ones...
