Wheeler Dealers Series 10

Really? All that water from a tiny hole? And how did he dry the carpets?

They look cheap IMO

My thoughts exactly!

Theres no way all that water came from just that tiny 'leak', not from the position it was in the B-Piller compared to where the water was in the front footwell. Something stinks....and probably very musty too!

Got to be honest, they don't do much for me either! Interior looks low quality (plasticcy, old Ford parts etc) but then you have expensive wood & leather..!?

Hasn't got enough performance either to justify the Aston badge on a modern car IMHO.

Not saying it's an awful car, but I can think of much more appealing cars for the money. Rather have newer or older Astons I guess, personally. And I guess that's why DB7s are cheap.

The last DB7s look good, but the interior will always be low rent. Each time I have been tempted, I just look inside.

My cousin has a Vantage, which shares an indicator stalk with a Fiesta!

Used ASTON MARTIN DB7 DB7 COUPE 1996 for sale - PistonHeads (Ref 1079880)

Runnymede Motor Company Contact Us – Martin Brewer and Malcolm Gammack

Contact name is Martin Brewer!

Looks like they done up his brothers' car for the show!

From the website (breaaking:wallbash:)

The Ford Escort Mk1 might not be red and Italian but it’s a performance car icon. Generations of drivers wanted this car, and for many it was their first taste of a quick motor. Mike finds the search for an Escort is hard going – prices for rust-free original cars are high. The car he finds is a great as a base, and Mike wants to gently customise the Mk 1, to give it a compassionate retro refit, improving the handing and breaking but to also spruce up the face of a much love 70’s classic.

I do hope its at least a Mexico - in one of the trailers the graphics showed Mexico stripes. I had a new one which I bought from Tommy Sopwiths garage in Brighton where he kept his offshore racing power boat. Both his boat and my Mexico were brilliant but poles apart in value !

Rear lights are from a Mazda 323.

Lots of Jag/Ford parts on them - lots of rust as well and the aircon is useless. That said they're very pretty cars and the supercharged straight six feels so very British.

I had no idea a " mongrel " Mk 1 Escort could command that sort of money !
Heavens knows why spend on an LSD on that car and it badly needed quarter bumpers not full width. And they changed the RS steering wheel for a hideous thing. The big dent in the passenger door just seemed to vanish !
Oh well each to their own !

I always liked Daytona Yellow. Remember once having a MK3 Cortina in that colour.

I too was amazed at how much it was allegedy worth! I once had a 1969 1600 Sport Escort back in the late seventies. Can't imagine driving it now!

I thought that was a good episoide... and what a good trick about setting the bearing pre load. I have always struggled with this and had to guess..
And its only basic physics...

As Ed so often likes to say - Well done that man.

Why why why did I sell my old cars ages ago.

If only I'd known.
