i have a w203 c180, which is the 2.0 engine not the 1.8 kompressor model

i have just been told that i need to get ANOTHER new air mass meter, and im not looking to fork out another £200 for another one so atm i am looking on ebay for one.

but does anybody know the part number of the one i need as i have no idea

thanks guys

plus do these things break down alot as this is my 2nd one and its costing me a bomb, plus it makes the car very jittery and im sure its also affecting my MPG?

ermmmmm i have no idea. its actually a k&n air filter.

why?do u think that would be the cause of the problem?

thanks

Apparantly k&n and new mbs dont mix well.

Might be best if you get rid of the k&n.

Seconded. K&N oil based filters kill MAF sensors.

i thought so!!!
omg thats the 2nd MAF its killed

its making the car stall all the time aswell

does anybody know where i can get a MAF from for my engine?
c180 - 2.0 (non kompressor)

they asking me £200 for a bosch one, i really dont want to fork out that much AGAIN lol
plus i heard that they only take like a few mins to install?

thanks for all the help guys

try ebay - you can pick them up for around £100 - make sure know the part number.

Easy to install, all you do is take of the airbox on the engine and you will see where it is. The maf is held on via a plastic clip, be gentle!

Get rid of the K&N filter and put the proper MB one back on, then drive the car for a bit, see if it clears up. You never know.

Try cleaning off the MAF with an alcohol based aerosole cleaner first (electronic componets cleaner), it's a cheap first pass try. Don't touch sensor part with anthing and don't use solvent cleaners such as Carb cleaner.

would anybody happen to have a picture of where the MAS will be on a w203 2.0?

thanks guys....if not ill just take it to a local garage to see if they can clean it out or if it needs replacing

thanks guys
