Which grease for wiper mechanism?

I agree that silicon grease is pretty useless as a lubricant.
OK for waterproofing your HT leads, but no use as a general-purpose grease.
Rocol Chain Spray is easily-applied and will do the trick.
I use Millers waterproof grease, WG2, which is much cheaper and is great for any application where wash-out can be a problem.

OK did this job today using the general purpose stuff I got from Hellfrauds.

Seemed to go on ok. I just covered all moving parts with grease until it looked like a big blob, and then I covered it some more!!!

Having completed the job, I can see the benefit of using an aerosol, but don't think the grease tub method is all that bad.
Will see how it goes.

Thanks for all the help and support with the grease questions.

Bellow, you seem to really know your sticky stuff. Do you swing from trees and eat bananas? If so you're a proper grease monkey!!!!

:D:D:D

Have used the aerosol lithium(white)spray on stuff in the past & works well if you notice any decrease in the performance of your wipers, most car spare shops/halfords sell it.

Think its time I greased up the wiper mechanism on my W202 as the other day it was really sluggish at the 12 o clock position.
Seems to have been ok since but probably best I grease the mechanism?

So which product do I use?
Is thisHalfords | Comma Multi Purpose Grease 500G ok?

if you can find a brand called Wurth its oem and the best.

Thanks for the advice.
I've now done this job, using the general purpose stuff from helfrauds.

I see you're in the same neck of the woods as me. Where do you go for honest reliable work on your Merc?
