Which models are the worst/best for rust?

I'm delighted to read about rust-free MBs -- a rarity, it seems. The R129's solidity is manifested in its weight, between 1700 and 1980 kg. Perhaps those who built them simply took more care than with other models -- could it be that simple?

My W202 is 11 years old now and the only rust spots are stone chips that I never had time to get sorted. However, now i've noticed there are some blemishes coming through on the two rear wheels arches (at the very top) and all the stone chips will be sorted when it goes in for the C43 kit to be fitted and sprayed. For a 10 year old car it's given little to no trouble and whilst the wife wants to change it for an Evolution Sports Coupe i'm very reluctant. If it ain't broke....don't fix it :D

I must be very lucky as I have a 1999 C200 Esprit with not a spot of rust on it also it is very clean underneath I get lots of comments regards the condition.

As I say I must be very lucky because I think they were right old rust buckets as a rule
