On my way to Asda at lunchtime today I was on a traffic island when WVM came flying onto it from the left and nearly took the front end of the car off so I gave him an annoyed blast on the horn. Further on I indicated to go left at another island and he pulled over to the right then followed me into Asda with tyres squealing. I pulled into a parking space and got out with my stick and just leaned on it and waited for him, as he opened his door one of the security staff came over so he shut the door and took off in a hurry. A shame really as I was quite prepared to do him some serious damage with my Leki stick.

Driving around Worcester in my 26t. lorry today when a car driver accelerated past me (dual carriageway) and braked hard to slip in between me and the car in front of me - called for some very sharp braking which is not what you need to be doing in a large truck.
My blast on the horn produced the usual gestures etc that lasted for a mile or so.

And he was driving a C class !!

I often wonder at the mentality of certain drivers who must be in front at all costs - the ones who continue down the nearside lane of a motorway before cutting into an exit lane at the last moment when they could have safely joined behind the traffic already on it .

I must admit that I like to have an extended view of the road ahead , and for this reason don't like sitting behind something big which prevents this , but I will only overtake if safe to do so .

Equally there is the mentality that if a lane is closed ahead everyone should move over into the single lane as soon as possible. In Germany they have the zipper - use both lanes fully to the end and then merge one for one - it works a treat

Nice one! I think a big stick should come as standard equipment.;)

I found that too when I worked in Germany. Wouldn't happen here though, most drivers are just too selfish to alternate like that.
