Who's placed a C63/s order ??

The question is, why has no one ordered the ceramics - they are priced quite well when you compare them to the M3/M4 which are about 6k.

For me, even though I do about 1 track day a month (not in the C63 though) I just figured its not worth the money and I didn't want any horror stories about disk replacement...

The standard ones are huge! You need a specific track day car if you're worried that the standard ones are too weak

So in the same week I drove the C63 (Non S model with smaller brakes) I had a M5 competition package with ceramics. Out on public roads I couldn't tell the difference at all, the C63 was stopping extremely well in my opinion.

I've not tracked a car before, I might track the C63 S so we shall see but I cannot ever see I'd really get my money's worth from the ceramics. You'd need to be a proper track person to even consider it.

Probably good you didn't wait for the Coupe if it comes out in 2016. 2016 has the new EU laws on exhausts coming into effect it seems so the current Performance Exhaust might not be legal on new cars in the EU

But after sitting in it yesterday at Lincoln I've now ruled it out. The patchwork quilt is definately not for me and, as said before, the red / black CF centre console is a really funny colour.

You wont be disappointed with DW at all. Its a stunning colour and that's why it comes at a small premium over the others. Bet you cant wait for Friday, pls be sure to post up your pictures

I ordered it on 19th January. Even this week has dragged on. I'm sure time will speed up as soon as I've got the keys, don't worry

OK my wait isn't nearly that bad then. Brave ordering the car before any reviews came out, it could have been a dog. However all has worked out well because it's awesome

Well I figured if it did turn out to be a problem for the reviews etc then I'd switch to an E63 or something and with Mercedes wanting to sell more of the w205 than the 204 there was little risk of it being that bad! I test drove a standard C class too and found even that to be really well made.

I finally got round to signing up, having been using this site for a while to help with my decision. Mine's due early August - C63S in Obsidian Black, with PP, Night Package and exhaust. Almost went white after seeing (and driving) the demonstrator in Derby - was nice to see that others were wrestling with colour choice on here.

Roll on August.

I take it you live near Derby then ? I too, test drove inchcapes White C63s a few weeks back. Pretty impressive isn't it?

I guess PP means premium package. You not tempted by the black multispokes too and make it really stealth looking cheers

Picked it up today! Only had the chance for an hour's drive but it's absolutely amazing - diamond white just sparkles and shimmers in the sun. The build quality is five or six notches above the old 204 and it sounds something else! Just a quick pic for now.
