Smiley Happy People

Hi,Glad to hear that someone else gets a cheesey grin when they drive thier merc. There is a touch of quality and pleasure. The c180 that i drive has given me more pleasure driving than any other car right back to 1978 when I was the proud owner of a Wolsey Six.At the moment i am thinking about upgradeing to another merc AMG:devil: they seem so cheap for so much car but at my age it is a bit more wishfull thinking than wise move:rolleyes:.I am thinking about a diesel and prehaps an e class .I have about one month to decide twist or stick with what I have.So nice to have a problem with no pressure and either way I get to drive a merc.THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Euge.

Thanks For your views .Is there anything i should watch for with this model as you havehad yours a little longer Regards Rod

Had my E class for 2 weeks now and still can't wipe the smile off..

I don't smile when I drive my car, but my back does silently thank the ride quality every time I get out of the car after my commute.

I find myself going out for a spin just for the fun of it and that's a great feeling :thumb:

There's a lot if it about.........

Looking for problems?

Hi,I have had my c-class over four years and she has always done me proud and in style the only probs that I have encountered were broken rear springs that cost £300 to fix this was picked up at a service(Solo,Volvo garage) as i told them I had a rattle from the rear sounded like an exaust clip but only when driving over speed bumps.I have an ongoing prob with an o'ring that no doubt a mechanic would fix easly. This is my first time fixing the merc and things have gone backwards but with perciverence and a fair wind I will come out victor.Once my prob is sorted I shall leave it to the experts and stick to cleaning only:thumb:

I find i am looking out of the window at my C180k coupe and trying to think of places i "need" to go

A month now and a 5 min walk to the newspaper shop, has been replaced by a half hour cruise! The smile is definitely there!

Get the ATF checked and replaced if it hasn't been already (I think that's right - about 40,000 miles is recommended). Check that the boot lock works on the metal key. Lubricate the wiper mechanism.

You're right about the smiling. I've had mine for nearly two years and it still puts a smile on my face.

my smile has been double width since I got rid of the belt driven fan and modified the throttle spring geometry.

I always smile and having only ever owned secondhand mercedes, it makes me wonder what I would be like if i ever got a new one
