This guy had floored his car down the 30mph limit road outside work (coming from over my right shoulder as the photo is taken), a van went to pull out on him from a blind-ish (well, at over 30 anyway) side turning and all the ESP in the world couldn't save him from mounting the pavement, crashing through a low brick wall (scattering bricks towards colleagues outside smoking) and into the building.
Police say; no action taken.
If there was someone on the pavement, or my staff had run left instead of right he'd be in court on a Death By Dangerous Driving. Imagine the energy it takes to fling a 4-brick lump of masonry as far as the ones in the picture have been thrown..
Best bit is Kartec (police recovery company) are right opposite and Pennings (huge accident repair centre) is about 100yds further up the road, but of course some other company turned up, dragged (literally) the merc over the remains of the wall and took it off somewhere, then delivered it back to Pennings 5 days later..
