Also no FTTC in Central London around Mayfair / Soho / Victoria... I was told that Openreach can't get permission from TfL for the road closures required for running new Fibre to the local cabs.

Yes, no FTTC around there. We have several customers that would like it there. That is my problem in the red tape around road closures & permissions. The govt. could fast track/green light all of this but choose not to.

Do the work at night in large teams & the impact is not too bad. They are making too much revenue from more expensive lines so why provide cheaper ones! That is more the issue I'm sure.. The permission/access is likely a smoke screen I'm guessing.

Needs someone radical like Boris the grab the project by the scruff & just get it done. Stop phaffing around UK.
