Windsceen fault???

I traveled 50 miles to view a Slk on a garage forecourt, all seemed well until I noticed what appeared to be condensation on the bottom edge of the windscreen, on closer inspection the glass had actually turned opaque and if you pressed down on the windscreen seal water seeped out. Is this a known fault and can it be easily repaired? I really liked the car!!

The opaque is delamination of the glass, new screen is the only cure
