windscreen oily film

blu tac is the equivalent of claying your car windscreen... in fact some people on here have used blu tac instead, to clay their car, as it's a fraction of the cost!
if you do... don't forget the lubricant

Took the words out of my mouth.

i must have a go at this the blue tac

also i had a guy call with a lexus soarer or toyota soarer 2.5 twin turbo fast car ill get to the point he failed his car test due to cloudy headlight not on the inside but out side

he was quoted sever hundred pounds for new headlights i said give me five min

i went and got the hose a cloth and tooth paste as tooth paste is a very fine abrasive you run on headlight not letting dry a splash of water now and then

and like new the owner was shocked and very happy saving me a lot of money car pasted the test

any plastic headlight this will work it wont damage the headlight at all

just a tip sorry for jumping in on tread

the glass cleaner my glazers used was siroflex trade strength glass cleaner, toolstation stock it.

Bought some other day. Cleaned screen up a treat, however when it rained a few days later the wipers really graunched over the presumably dry film of Siroflex. Fortunately a couple of squirts of the screen washer quietened everything down (Also tried it on the kitchen window at the same time. After the same rain shower the window was still nice and shiny, unlike the muck left on other windows that seems to come with rain nowadays so a plus there !)
