Unfortunately today I pulled onto the M5 to have a passing van throw a stone up and put a big old chip/crack in the windscreen.

I know looking online anything within a £2 coin radius is repairable however mine is around this size but is splintering into cracks. Is this going to be a new windscreen already on the GLC?

Will post a pic when it stops raining.

Jay!!! You're cursed with bad luck mate.

I think once it splinters or cracks then it'll just keep on getting bigger. As far as I know only chips can be filled and repaired. However I'm only guessing. I'm sure others will confirm right or wrong.

How's the 'Babes' A45 doing mucca?

Ant.

Think your right Ant, although the GLC achieved just short of 49mpg today even with climate on and a 152 mile mix of driving.

The A45 is close to breaking the 1000 mile limit so we can unleash the beast and have some proper fun!

hey Jay, had the very same thing last week, crack about the size of a pound coin, autoglass came and resin repaired it, you can still see the crack (luckily on the passenger side) but it shouldn't get worse, call em out

I'm on my third windscreen in 18 months with a pound sized chip in the current one in my W205. Just can bring myself to book a fourth one so soon.

I don't know what Merc are using for their glass but it's sodding brittle I'll tell you that much!
