Windscreen - scratches

I have fine scratches on the windscreen, caused by the wiper, same direction etc etc.

Is it possible to polish a windscreen? How much

Or could i do it my self? Something like T-Cut?
I'm guessing this would actually make it worse!

Pretty sure this has been discussed before, IIRC toothpaste was one option!

If you can actually feel the scratches with your finger nails then all is lost pretty much I'm afraid. These deep ones would require some removal of the glass to an extent which is possible because I have seen it done. It leaves the glass slightly dished though which causes visual distortions. The very fine ones can be addressed with either toothpaste or jewellers rouge but the results are mixed.
