Windscreen signature

Hi.Ive just arrived. I have owned a C200 and a C180k est in the past, then a five year break,financial reasons, but I’m back in an MB again thank goodness.
I took delivery of a 2016 GLC a few days ago, today I noticed a signature on the bottom of the windscreen....is this normal?

Both of mine have them, but different names.

I've got one as well, but I don't think it's genuine. Carl Benz, the guy who supposedly signed it, died in 1929 - so unless your car has been sitting around in dealer stock for almost 90 years, I suspect it's a forgery.

One of mine does, but the other says Mercedes.

They are inexpensive and you can choose yout signature. E.g.:
