Hi there,

Does anybody know how the heated windscreen washer jets on my 98' W210 are activated if they exist.
Stealer say they are working but can't feel any warmth and the frost on the bonnet immediately above them had no sign of thawing out this morning.

Thanks,
David.

I would assume they work the same way as the mirrors.

The mirrors come on for a 20 min cycle when you Start th car up and the outside temp is below 8 degrees C.

Actually, they come on with the ignition and stay on all the time.
The only reason I know this is because I took mine out and replaced them with the chrome blue light ones a long time ago and the lights stay on all the time the ignition is on.

Does it mean that mine are not working?
Just a thought. If they stay on permanently, then what are their purpose in the summer when there are no frost?

No purpose, just an uncomplicated design.

Well, looks like a trip to the stealership then.

Thanks all for your info.
