Are these worth buying, the price seems to vary greatly?

Can they be bought from more reputable sources?

AFAIK there's no 'reputable' source as they're all pirate copies of software developed and owned by the Daimler Chrysler Group. WIS and EPC, anyway. I guess DC turn a blind eye most of the time because they're not normally the latest release.

No need to get very concerned. Compact EPC is sold by Mercedes themselves (MBGTC).
