Been quite a week here in Vladimir!!
Of less importance was the opportunity I had today to give a 2010 E500 Coupe a blast round Vladimir!!
One of my FIL's friends recently changed his BMW645 for this nice silver E500 coupe. What a car!! It really is fantastic and if any car could convert me to the delights of the 5.5 V8, this is it! I'm not sure if the spec is different here, but his car was fully loaded and drove very well with good damping and very quick steering. Great car and high on my replacement list (albeit possibly in 250cdi guise in UK..)
And....SWMBO and I had a brilliant meeting with our very own Les (Dittrich) and his family!!
It was a surreal feeling, both meeting someone from MBClub, but in Russia!!
I'll let Les fill in any details if he wishes, but suffice to say the "GTG" was great and it was a very real pleasure to meet Les and his lovely wife Tania and their son William! I (and SWMBO!!!) very much hope we'll keep in touch in UK!
Thanks Les for coming to Vladimir to meet us and we hope your trip back to Moscow and on, was safe and fun!
(I have a photo of our two cars (the trusty Nissan and Les's S124) which I'll upload if Les is ok with it.)
