All,

I hope this is the correct forum:

Like many of you I have spent hours looking for something other than the supplied vehicle manual, to inform me about my car and its parts. Eventually I heard about the Workshop Information Station (WIS) and Electronic Parts Catalogue (EPC) but wondered about getting my hands on this.

I recently bought a copy of the WIS/EPC from a chap on EBay and at this point in time I'm downloading it onto an old desk top PC. It’s not a simple process and I've experienced some problems however, the chap (Darren) who I bought it off it currently remotely controlling the PC to get it up and running.

Good product and fantastic service from the seller,

I can pass on his details if anyone is interested

Martyn:)

Thanks bostonmj.

I used to use WIS/EPC, but gave up on it some times ago as - like you say - it is time consuming and awkward to install.

Many members here - me included - now use the official MB EPC online:

Daimler AG - Service & Parts net

If costs around a tenner a year in subscription, and it is always up to date...

An good alternative to anyone finding WIS/EPC installation a bit too much.

Or join the official MB owners Club (£30/yr sub)

The Mercedes-Benz Club

And get free online access to EPC and WIS via the club portal
