Worst Cars Of 2007 (American)
In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, where Americans gorge themselves on gratuitous heapings of turkey, financial magazine Forbes has released their fourth annual list of "Automotive Turkeys." Somewhat surprisingly, the five worst cars on the list of ten are all made by Chrysler.

Looking only at 2007 model-year vehicles, Forbes took four attributes into consideration, including volume and severity of recalls as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Consumer Reports reliability ratings, the Automotive Leasing Guide depreciation ratings, and safety ratings based on the NHTSA and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash-test ratings.

Based on this data, Forbes claims the ten worst cars are:

10: Pontiac Grand Prix
9: Hyundai Entourage
8: Nissan Quest
7: Chevrolet Aveo
6: Ford Crown Victoria
5: Dodge Magnum
4: Dodge Caliber R/T AWD
3: Jeep Liberty
2: Dodge Nitro
1: Chrysler Sebring

No real suprises at that then! - Thank god for the split.

Isn't that an American Magazine for the American market - therefore more Americans will be complaining about American cars..........

6. Bentley - Arnage RL

7. Aston Martin - Vanquish

Yes, the same people who say these are the top 10 best cars to drive

1. Honda - Civic Hybrid

To be fair, for a small, economical car the Corsa is not bad. Reasonable performance and comfortable. OK for what its designed for.

From my point of view the 10 worst probably are for me - they are too wide to fit comfortably down the local roads! I'd get a nice powerful small car, given the choice, something like anSLK:)

I've been over to the States on business a couple of times in the last year and have ended up with Dodge rental cars both times. Firstly a Charger, which I was quite taken with - big, comfortable, handled tidily and not bad looking. Needed more go, however, as it was poverty spec with 2.7 V6 and 4 speed auto. Second time I ended up with a Caravan people carrier (same as Chrysler Voyager) which wasn't exactly of a barrel of laughs to drive but was surprisingly quick when driven in a rental car style, i.e. caned mercilessly. It had the last laugh when I filled it up before returning to the airport though - 12 MPG .

Cheers,

Gaz

No French cars are sold in the USA.

They are selling both the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Nitro over here now, so we can see for ourselves how bad they really are.
