Worst MPG acheived....

2.0 NASP CRX on track - 63 miles to a full tank which is between 35-40 litres

Probably about 8mpg but the small tank makes it look worse, Same size tank returned over 400 miles on a run with my old 1.6 turbo Rex when driven in economy mode

18 mpg in my current car is my lowest, although when i visited my uncle who lives in the states he managed to get 2mpg in his Hummer :p

Many moons ago,---12 mpg from a 1971 Triumph 2.5 PI. The Lucas PI system wa notoriously thrsty, but 12 mpg was well OTT. I bought the 2.5 PI for £25 after someone rear ended my Triumph 2000 ( on Christmas day 1978), and it was cheap because the ends were knocking. Back then, ripping out an engine and getting the crank ground was no big deal and only afterthe rebuild did I discover its inherrant thirst. After further investigation I found that someone in its not so distant past had fitted a TR250 engine. This engine was fitted to the American TR250 Sportscar ( similar to a TR6 ) how this engine made its way into the car I never knew, but it was a twin carburretor engine and never designed to run on petrol injection. So I reppied out the injection system, fitted twin Stronbergs and restored a 25mpg consumption. Also i sold the injection system for more than I paid for the carburretors and inlet manifold so a result all round. I still have the engine lurking about in my garden.

I managed to use 15 litres of fuel in about 7 runs of a 2 mile long airstrip on a motorcycle.

Under 5mpg anyway.

23mpg on my c230k, and i was driving it like i stole it.

But i've achieved 12mpg on the TT supra i borrowed from a friend for a while, 450bhp, was a real monster, it almost killed me (or should i say my naive right foot almost killed me  )

If we are talking about what others have achieved then CRS's uncle in the Hummer at 2 mpg will take some beating!:)
Landspeed record holder Andy Green got a miserly 9mpg setting the diesel speed record in Dieselmax, but used over 10 gallons per mile (!) in Thrust SSC.
That's more than 2 gallons a second:eek:
It could wear a bit thin on your daily commute!
