Would this be a poor buy? C63 content

Seller looking at a very low miles example, yours is the opposite and been on sale for many a month - maybe it's overpriced.
Just over a month is hardly 'many a month'. None are selling at the moment, most likely due to petrol prices. I'm in no rush. Replacement is bought and paid for and as usual I'm open to a conversation. Part of my pricing is the valuable genuine 507 wheels and a spare set of winter wheels. Anyone who bothers to read the advert will see these items are negotiable. If it doesn't sell as a package I'll pull it apart to offer a lower sticker price.
Low miles is attractive as on my head it equals “servicing rather than fixing”
Mostly that's true but age and usesge is a factor too. For example, the camshaft adjusters wear more by the number of times the car is started than mileage. I posted mine as I've already tackled a lot of the common problems.
The car Steve posted looks nice. It also has a proper diff, which was the one thing my own C63 estate really lacked. It’s been around a while though, perhaps due to the colour combo which is not everyone’s stein of pils.
Thanks, it's my car...

A few experts said it's expensive here, reserved already...

It wasn't me, I'm going to take a while to make my mind up I suspect.

Hi , I buy my cars on condition / even new ones / people would be surprised how many new cars are damaged in delivery to dealers.

I ordered a new Ford RS 2000 many years ago , rejected the car , due to clearly a poor accident repair.

I hope it wasn't a black 1979 Custom then. ;)

Actually after 40 years I think I'd have spotted previous accident damage, but I think it's more common than people realise.

Yep, my C63 was new and yet somehow damaged, with the side skirt needing to be replaced. It was a bit of black plastic, so it wasn't the end of the world for me, but had it been paint I'm not sure how'd I'd taken it.

I once bought a new BMW that the dealer put the wrong number plates on. This is exactly why I get my wife or friend to come with me, as I'm normally too consumed with excitement to spot things like this on the collection day.

Goes to show the potential lack of care and attention during the PDI.

Ohh sorry I didn't realise that. I didn't mean anything negative about the colour combo. One of my own other cars is blue and another is grey and another is red so what do I know!
I did mean to say, and will say now, that it looks like it was owned and cared for by a real enthusiast which has to be positive!

I recall from when I was looking for an E63 that some of the members had a way of looking at the specs and history of a car from the VIN and reg - I'm looking at this car at the moment, would anyone be able to oblige?

Great- thanks. Looks ok to me, anyone care to comment? I've always wanted Distronic for long trips across France, so that's nice to see.

Key things that I like on that spec list are:
238
ACTIVE LANE KEEPING ASSIST (FAP)
233
AUTONOMOUS INT. CRUISE CONT. PLUS (DISTRONIC PLUS)

Because I'd like to try them on the run to the Alps and, related to cruising:

810
PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM

(Anyone know what this would mean? There's Harmon-Karden badging and a subwoofer in the left hand panel of the boot)

From a driving perspective:

471
MECHANICAL LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL

The only thing I'm a bit wary of is that it was MOT'd in 2019 but it doesn't seem to have been serviced, which is a real shame as every other service has been main dealer.

Unless the paperwork for that service has been lost - I'm afraid I don't know how to check a cars service history online.

Link to car?

Looks tidy and not far from me, can you not locate a PPP estate?

Ring MB on 00800 2647 7777 and ask has it had any services after 2019.

Called them, they will only speak to the registered owner. I will see if the dealer will go through their process, although as it involves sending the V5 off I have my doubts.
