Hi all

I have been searching the net and all the forums but cannot find the information I want.

I recently bought an Cat B E270 so I could use it for spares for my own E270, one of the main things I wanted to do was retrofit the xenon headlamps, so I fitted them and found that most of the time they would just flicker when turned on, so using the STAR I coded the car to recognise them.

Now they stay on but are completely out of line, I've heard you can retrofit the self leveling function, so my question is does anyone know how I would go about doing this and does anyone have first hand experience of doing this that they could share.

Thanks in advance

Whitenemises did this to his C270 cdi - I think Olly fitted them. Wasn't a cheap option though.

Hi,
Have,nt you got the self levelling system from the Cat B E270?
Just follow the loom back from the plugs on the levelling motors, though I warn you it does go right through to the boot and possibly crosses inside the car, I have done this on my C43, the only real difficult bit was the suspension atitude sensors and then the "STAR" coding for the levelling system, though to be honest it was time consuming removing from the doner car, but all your connections should the same when installing in your car, mine I wired correctly but only had issues when STAR was plugged in as I had misread the the diagnostic socket and fitted the plug wire in the wrong socket.
Make sure you take loads of pics, especially of the connections, and also take written notes to back up the pics (just to be sure).
There should be some retro fit instructions for doing this on WIS, there is for the 202/210/208/203.
