Yet another annoying clicking dash!

Hey guys,

Ever since i started to get an annoying clicking sound coming from my central air vent in my 03' C320 (W203), i have practically been all over this forum and found every write-up, DIY guide and hints listed (seems a pretty common fault on pre-face lift W203's!).

But nearly all of them are regarding the footwell stepper motors (or linkage which appears to be the real culprit), but the air blows perfectly in the footwells and the windscreen clears ok too, but nothing blows out the top vents across the dash, so assuming its the motor/linkage in the central heater box?? :wallbash:

Does anyone know the correct part numbers for the motor(s) and linkage(s) located in that part of the airflow system? or know where i could get them from? (my nearest Merc dealer is a couple of hours away so have been trying to find the parts online first). Are the linkage and motors the same throughout the car?

Tried Ebay for the parts and other places online that specialise in MB parts but most of them don't seem to stock them. Don't mind the treck to my dealer, but would prefer to not have to take a half day off work to go there!

Can anyone shed some light onto where i could go to get these? :dk:

If you ring the dealer parts dept and give them your chassis number they will able to see what parts are correct for your car and tell you the price and if they are in stock. Not sure if they will give you the part numbers.

Or try: Google Translate
