A nice 230 mile drive to get used to it and initial impression is I got a good'un.
I can find no mechanical faults but it is due a service. All the electrics work as they should except the aircon but I knew about that. The body has a few minor flaws and as dieselman said it needs a good machine polish to take the swirl marks out but for a 12 year old car with 155k miles for less than £2k it's in bloody good shape. An awful lot of car for the money.
I got all the history file including every MOT and all the service books stamped by either Normand of London or Mercedes of Sevenoaks. The interior is spotless, it doesn't even have the wear on the drivers side bolster that they all seem to suffer from.
I'm used to a 220 and the effortless performance of the straight 6 surprised me, 90+ MPH sneaked up on me without me noticing more than once. I've gone 28 years with a clean license but I'll need to be careful with this one.
